Men Alive weekend retreat for personal growth, supportive fellowship, and community healing

October 1-3, 2021

We will agree on group norms for safety and confidentiality; celebrate and bond through ritual and meals; share our stories, laughter and tears in small groups; dance, make music, and write poetry together; and, connect non-verbally through drumming and in nature.

The weekend is drug and alcohol free, and all activities are optional.

All masculine-identified persons are welcome.

Please register by emailing Peter Daigle with 'Men Alive Weekend' in subject line:

Vermont Men Alive gatherings encompass all aspects of humanity: ritual, spirtual, financial, social, etc... A typical full weekend gathering begins with men welcomed on a Friday evening to our gathering location. Everyone arrives and gets their personal belongings into a room of their choice and then socializes until Opening Circle, a ritual of sharing and open communication. This leads into a discussion of the entire weekend, including planning various activities based on the skeletal schedule shown below. All participation is optional as the entire spirit of our gatherings is self-expression and safety in a non-judgmental way.

The Men Alive Council is made up of "Stickholders" (activity coordinators), along with any other men who attend and would like to participate, who bring all elements of a gathering together to make it all happen as smoothly as possible. Much of the weekend is maleable, in a very creative and open space. You can take a 'stick' as a "Stickholder" before, or during the gathering, and we welcome all participation!
A typical weekend schedule can be found here.
